Efficient Pore Network Extraction Method based on the Distance Transform

An efficient algorithm of pore network extraction will be presented by Adam Hammoumi* at A2IA'2020 (Artificial Intelligence & Industrial Applications 2020) Meknes, Morocco. This method is based on distance transform followed by several steps, from local maxima extraction, filtering operation, to source propagation. This work is illustrated on standard pore network model (network of cylinders and spheres) and on multi-scale Boolean random models. A paper will be published soon as a Springer chapter book.
